New Year, New Cleaning Resolutions
The New Year is less than 3 weeks away and it’s time to start considering what you will change in your day to day life.
Cleaning and your routine is always a good place to begin. You can lighten your cleaning load with some easy changes.
New Years Cleaning Resolutions
Managing post
Even in our rapidly evolving digital age, people are still receiving ‘snail mail’. Open the letters over a recycle bin to get rid of unwanted letter quicker.
Roll back the duvet
Changing bedsheets can be a hassle. Swapping them with a duvet and a duvet cover. The duvet itself makes bed-making easier. To clean it, pop off the cover and out it into the washing machine.
Nightly sweeping
Just before heading to bed, do a walk-through of the household. Throw newspapers in to the recycle bun, toss out the junk post, put dishes in the dishwasher, hang up any coats that have been left out etc.
Shower cleaning
Giving your shower/bath tub a quick clean after you have used it will go a long way to keeping them free of scum and limescale.
Two by two
Keeping a full set of cleaning supplies on each floor of your home means they’re within easy reach for spot cleaning.
Baskets
If you haven’t already, invest in some baskets in various sizes which can be used as laundry baskets or waste baskets and have them placed in every room.
Vacuum on the go
You may want to invest in hand-held cordless vacuum for when you’re doing your routine clean.
